Last night and tonight SCTC's production of "Suddenly, Last Summer" was and is sold out. Thank you to everyone who has seen it with a powerful cast led by Connie Norwood. Standing on the theatre's steps last night before the show gave me the greatest view. The view of people rushing up Jasper Street to be sure to get tickets for the show. Seeing a full lobby full of people and watching the seats fill is such a great thrill and blessing and all ....thanks to you. When SCTC produces any play our commitment is to the playwright and staying true to his work. I hope and trust that Tennessee Williams would be happy with this production. Every director at SCTC is tasked with that mission...to serve the play. And watching people rushing into the theatre makes me believe that Connie and cast did just that. There are 17 seats left for our closing show as I write this. Please come. Maybe tomorrow I'll see you dashing down Jasper before the 2PM curtain! En avant!
